Excel 2013 Open a file and prompt user with "Author would like you to open as read-only" -


i have excel file. when file opened user prompted message "the author open file_abc.xlsm read-only unless need make changes. open read-only?"

for life of me can't find box tick. what's worse did 2 weeks ago of other workbooks. can please tell me option located in excel 2013?

while saving excel file (or 'save as' saved files) when browse window appears asking file name, type, location etc : there 'tools' dropdown select @ left of save button. click on , select: 'general options'. mini option window appears 'backup creation' / 'password protection' , check box called 'read recommended'. check option , save file. thats all.
