wifi - which radio type i'm using -


how can ,from network information frequency ,network speed ,security type "capabilities" , signal level in dbm determin standard i'm using. can easely 2 categories frequency 2.4ghz , 5ghz ,but still not giving me accurate result 802.11a (5ghz) /802.11b (2,4ghz) /802.11g (2,4ghz) /802.11n(5ghz et 2,4ghz) in hand saw in sites can determin standard network speed 802.11a (54mb/s) /802.11b (11mb/s) /802.11g (54mb/s) /802.11n(300mb/s) numbers theoritical ,and interference problems can accure change them. i'm confused ,can give me idea resolve problem. thank .

the access point announces available rates supports in beacon frame. maybe this article can started.
