i read on wcf data services blog comment:

sorry, not plan release wcf data services in v4. instead release webapi version service bits. have prerelease webapi.odata @ www.myget.org/.../aspnetwebstacknightly. can have try or can have own implementation of service odatalib api. thanks

whats more, blog has been renamed odata blog , posts seem web api (and related).

has heard kind of official announcement on this?

the "odata team" said clearly: "to mitigate inconvenience may cause, working on cleaning code , making compatible odata v4, , release stack open source. not plan put significant investment adding v4-specific features wcf ds stack." here. if not implementing odata v4, abandoned.

we love feedback on approach. how far should take wcf data services code before releasing open source?

this confirms feedback accepting pertains when release wcf data services open source. think community around it's been communication debacle.
